Questions

Is the hidden text really gone?: Yes. A page with a box is rebuilt as a picture with the black box drawn in, so the text under it is not in the saved file.
Will the pages still be searchable?: Pages that have a box become pictures, so their text can no longer be searched or selected. Pages without boxes keep their text.
