Privacy policy
PDF Fix (“we”) runs PDF Fix. This page explains what we collect and why.
Your documents
Your PDF files and images are opened and processed inside your browser. We do not receive, store or look at them, and their names and contents are not sent to us or to any other company.
What we store about you
- Your email address and a scrambled (hashed) form of your password, to run your account.
- When you created the account, confirmed your email and agreed to the terms.
- Your plan and subscription status, and the customer and subscription numbers our payment provider gives us.
- A sign-in cookie (essential; it keeps you logged in) and a record of recent sign-in and email requests with your network address, kept for up to a few hours to stop abuse.
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies and do not sell your data.
Who helps us
- Paddle processes payments and is the seller of record. It receives your payment details and billing information, not us.
- Resend delivers our emails (account confirmation and password reset). It receives your email address and the message.
- Our hosting provider (SiteGround) runs the service and stores our database.
Why we use your data
To provide your account and plan, keep the service secure, send the emails you ask for, and meet legal duties such as tax records (held by our payment provider).
How long we keep it
Account data is kept until you delete your account. Sign-in sessions last up to 30 days. Sign-in and email request records are removed automatically after a few hours. Payment records may be kept longer by our payment provider as the law requires.
Your rights
You can download your data and delete your account on the Account page. You can also ask us to correct your data or object to how we use it, and you may complain to your data protection authority. Contact: our contact address (to be published before launch).
Children
The service is not meant for children under 16.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will tell you.
